Peppermint cookies
Ok so my husband couldn't really tell what my last peppermint cookie was supposed to be. I was wanting this effect but couldn't figure out exactly how to do it. It just happened that Bridget made a post about how to do them right after my last batch! So of course I had to try them and they are so fun!

Christmas cookies
Baking Christmas cookies has always been a tradition for our family. My mom used to get out all of the cookie cutters and we would have so much fun baking them and decorating!
One of my favorite cutters was this reindeer. I always loved decorating the reindeer. Last Christmas was my son's first Christmas and I found a lot of fun reindeer shirts and everything so that was his "theme." I kinda went a little overboard and I think he wore a reindeer shirt every day in December! I can't wait until he can help me make them!
I did my first batch of Christmas cookies this weekend and I had so much fun!Can you tell what this is? My husband wasn't really sure so I might have to revise how I make it.
This truck and tree is one of my new cutters I got a few months ago. I was so excited when I found it online. And of course, what are Christmas cookies without snowmen?
This is another new cutter, the snow globe. I just used icing to make the tree but I think I might try fondant next time. I have a small tree cutter and a snowman and in royal icing it didn't turn out like I wanted. But I still think it's cute.
And of course Santa!
If you haven't noticed, I love using my scalloped square cutter for all kinds of different themes. I meant to do some "Ho Ho Ho" cookies but forgot. Next time I will!

Gobble Gobble
I did these for my dad to take for his Thanksgiving potluck at work. I did some last year and he said everyone loved the turkeys. I looked for a picture of the ones I did last year and I don't think I took any! So I looked for some new ideas for turkeys and I went to one of my favorite blogs.....Bake at 350! I saw these that Bridget did and thought they were so fun!
Happy Thanksgiving!

Mason Jars
A friend of mine asked me to do some cookies with Mason jars on them for a wedding shower she threw for her sister-in-law. She was throwing a "country" shower and I thought that was a really cute theme! She used mason jars as cups and tied ribbons around them. So that's what I tried to do. Nutt will be their last name and that's the date of the wedding. So if you think of the Ball jars, that's what I tried to match the writing to. That was Ginger's idea and I thought it was so cute! I really liked how these turned out!

Cookie cutters
I have found my cookie cutters in a variety of places. Hobby Lobby carries some and Walmart has seasonal ones out with their party stuff. If you ever go to outlet malls or shopping centers, check out the kitchen type stores because I've found some unique ones in stores like that.
Walmart and Hobby Lobby both carry a big box of 101 cutters from Wilton. And Target has a box of 101 but I can't remember the brand. I took off the label from the ones I have. But I found it in the baking section.
I order a lot of my cookie cutters online. Here are a few places that I've ordered from and highly recommend!

Hope this helps!

Baby shower
My friend Amy hosted a shower last week for her friend and asked me to do some vintage/shabby chic cookies! I love this theme! The mom-to-be doesn't know if it's a boy or girl so she asked for dresses and little boy outfits. These were so fun to do!
She also wanted some monogram cookies, some with the boy intial and some with the girl's. I got this idea from Bake at 350.And she also wanted some carriages and bottles.
